Little free Library
Little Free Library News Rack Project
Take a Book, Return a Book, Share a Book!
The Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana has launched The Little Free Library News Rack Project, a project to convert old street newspaper distribution boxes into little free libraries that will be placed in neighborhoods and cities in Floyd, Clark, and Harrison counties. The boxes are designed and/or created by local artists, schools, associations, etc. Potential creators will submit a design based on parameters set by AASI. The project could be themed as history, location, business, etc.
Our mission and wish at AASI is to encourage more children to read and promote literacy throughout Southern Indiana. Our free little library boxes are stocked with books, art supplies, and non-perishable food items.
Happy Black History Month, everyone! To celebrate the essential contributions and amazing figures of the Black community, all little free libraries will be stocked with Black History Month themed books and activities this month.
